Suzuki’s 4-Door Jimny Nomade Makes Its Long-Awaited Debut in Japan
Suzuki has officially introduced the 4-door Jimny to Japan under the name “Nomade.” This more practical version of the Jimny was first launched in India two years ago, where it is currently produced.
Suzuki states that the Suzuki Jimny Debut in Japan Nomade maintains the “off-road capability” of the original Jimny while offering “improved accessibility and comfortable seating for four adults,” thanks to its extended wheelbase and additional doors.
The five-door Jimny Nomade measures 3,890 mm (153.1 inches) in length, which is 340 mm (13.4 inches) longer than the three-door Jimny Sierra. This additional length is entirely due to the extended wheelbase of 2,590 mm (102 inches), providing extra space for rear passengers. The larger boot capacity also adds to its practicality.
The front and rear design of the five-door Jimny Nomade is nearly identical to the three-door Jimny Sierra, which launched in 2018. The main visual differences include the Gun Metallic finish on the five-slot grille and its plated frame. Additionally, the five-door model introduces new color options, such as Sizzling Red Metallic and Celestial Blue Pearl Metallic.
